家庭医学 Curriculum and Affiliations
Our curriculum is designed around the 门诊 clinic experience in order to emphasize high-quality 门诊 training. We also have a very strong inpatient service and provide maternity care. PGY-1 residents typically spend one half-day per week in the clinic on hospital rotations, along with several dedicated clinic blocks when they are in the continuity clinic full time. 在PGY-2年期间, clinic time increases to three half-days on most rotations, and PGY-3 residents are typically in the clinic four half-day sessions per week. Clinic schedules are designed to give residents consistent clinic days to promote continuity with their patients.

Affiliations and Clinical Sites
Our residents rotate through Valleywise健康, 尊严健康St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, and Phoenix Children's Hospital (PCH).
Valleywise健康 Medical Center is a 325-bed acute care community hospital located near the heart of downtown Phoenix. Valleywise健康 Medical Center’s primary mission is providing care for the poor underserved patients in the community. The hospital sees a large case load in Level I Trauma, contains a Pediatric Level 2 Trauma center, and houses the renowned Arizona Burn Center. The brand new Valleywise健康 Medical Center will be 10 stories and is slated to open in January 2024.
Phoenix Children's Hospital (PCH) is a 363-bed inpatient bed facility that offers the most comprehensive pediatric healthcare in the state, 提供住院, 门诊, trauma and emergency care across more than 70 pediatric subspecialties.
尊严健康St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, a large tertiary care center with a mission to care for underserved patients, is home to and/or has affiliations with:
- Barrow Neurological Institute, an internationally and nationally recognized center for Neurosurgery and Neurology
- Norton Thoracic Institute, one of the busiest double lung transplant centers in the nation, in addition to expertise in foregut surgery
- An ACS verified Level 1 Trauma Center, the busiest in metropolitan Phoenix
- Dignity Health Cancer Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, which treats more than 60 types of cancer by employing advanced genetic and molecular testing
